CNC Turner
Due to significant company expansion, CNC Turner required in manufacturing company working within various sectors including Oil & Gas and Motorsport industries.
Main Purpose of Job:
To produce components to drawing tolerance and specifications, efficiently and accurately as required by customer specifications.
Main responsibilities:
- Accurately create programme when advised by Section Leader or Assistant Section Leader to customers specification using available facilities
- Ensure all programmes are saved at all times as per company procedures
- Competently operate CNC lathes using operating systems for each machine
- Undertake any off set or minor changes to programme in conjunction with supervisor to produce quality components to drawing limits/customer requirements.
- Ensure machine processes are running at optimum efficiency and correct speed and feed, including regrinding of tools.
- Support and advise other employees when required in ensure all operations are carried out efficiently and accurately to customers requirements, drawing tolerance and specifications
General responsibilities:
- Ensure all components in production are accompanied by the appropriate route card and instruction package and adhere to any specialist instructions at all times
- Report any faults or abnormalities to general foreman at the earliest opportunity
- Ensure machine maintenance is adhered to as per company standards
- Liaise with general foreman to ensure work is completed on time highlighting any concerns at the earliest opportunity
- Produce excellent quality components using various materials as laid out in the customer’s specification
- Adhere to production schedules, instructed and agreed with general foreman
- Work with other employees to ensure quality and standards are maintained at all times
- Adhere to company quality procedures as per company quality manual ISO9000..2000
- Ensure your working area is kept neat and tidy at all times and general housekeeping maintained to assist with health and safety procedures
Additional duties:
- Undertake any other reasonable management request
- To attend staff meetings when requested
- Work flexibly where possible to support the business when needed
- Attend training requested by the company which is linked to the development of your job role
- Forward suggestions for discussion to improve processes or procedures to your line manager
- Ensure waste is kept to a minimum to benefit both the company and the environment.
