Inspector

Due to significant company expansion, our client requires a Quality Inspector in a company working within various sectors including Oil & Gas and Motorsport industries.

Main responsibilities:

  • Undertake and/or load section to carry out first off and final inspect according to inspection reports when applicable. Record findings at all times
  • Ensure the route card is stamped to verify component complies to customer requirements
  • Liaise with Works Manager and/or customer regarding problems and concessions.
  • Ensure all quality aspects are adhered to Non Conformance Report both externally and internally
  • Ensure machine processes and all operations are completed and first off and second inspection on the route card. If not report immediately to Work Manager to assess whether operation has been completed or missed

General responsibilities:

  • Ensure all components in production is accompanied by the appropriate route card and instruction package and adhere to any specialist instructions at all times
  • Report any faults or abnormalities to general foreman at the earliest opportunity
  • Ensure machine maintenance is adhered to as per company standards
  • Liaise with general foreman to ensure work is completed on time highlighting any concerns at the earliest opportunity
  • Produce excellent quality components using various materials as laid out in the customer’s specification
  • Adhere to production schedules, instructed and agreed with general foreman
  • Work with other employees to ensure quality and standards are maintained at all times
  • Adhere to company quality procedures as per company quality manual ISO9000..2000
  • Ensure your working area is kept neat and tidy at all times and general housekeeping maintained to assist with health and safety procedures

Additional duties:

  • Undertake any other reasonable management request
  • To attend staff meetings when requested
  • Work flexibly where possible to support the business when needed
  • Attend training requested by the company which is linked to the development of your job role
  • Forward suggestions for discussion to improve processes or procedures to your line manager
  • Ensure waste is kept to a minimum to benefit both the company and the environment
