Reporting To: NPI Director

This company is a major player in the measurement of landfill gas worldwide. It is the market leader in the supply of portable landfill gas analysers and also has a range of other gas analysis products.

Due to moving part of the software development to the UK they are now expanding the software team to support and develop their installed monitors and landfill database system.

The role

Key aspects of the post:

The job involves working on our web based database and data display software, maintaining parts of the existing system and contributing to updates in the future.

 We require a person who will not only be able to manage the software task, but be able to understand some of the reasons for the customer requirements.

A person with a background in an engineering subject would be an advantage.

Over time, this person will become one of the key contacts for customers requiring support of the software, so communication skills are important.

  • Web design
  • ASP
  • ASP.NET
  • SQL Server 2000/2005

Personal qualities:

The person will be working with a team of other software engineers –
currently three, but set to expand over the coming months. The software
team is part of the NPI (New Product Introduction) team that also includes
electronic and mechanical engineers.

Commercial experience:

The core goal of the team is to create world class, high value added
software. Customer focus and commercial awareness are essential
qualities for the role.
